Chevron Island - Surfers Paradise - Main Beach - Gold Coast Accommodationhome | accommodation in main beach | about main beach |Main Beach is trendy and elegant, with tree lined boulevards, cafes, boutiques and specialty shops. Only minutes away from the heart of Surfers Paradise, the great advantage of Main Beach is that it is so close to everything you will want to see on the Gold Coast. Take a break from the beach and from Tedder Avenue, and visit Southport, Sea World, Movie World, Wet'n Wild, Marina Mirage, Sanctuary Cove, and Couran Cove which are all located nearby to the north of Main Beach.
Hint: The theme parks and many of the famous golf courses are about a 20 minute drive from the centre of the Gold Coast. If you plan to see and do a lot on your holidays, its going to be more enjoyable if you can to reduce travelling time. That's the main reason why so many visitors prefer to stay in a central location such as Surfers Paradise or Main Beach. Shopping & RestaurantsLadies love a bit of retail therapy. A large range of possible shopping destinations start just outside your resort in Tedders Avenue, and extend to the nearby Cavill Mall in Surfers Paradise, the Marina Mirage, Sanctuary Cove or Pacific Fair in Broadbeach. Guys may as well be prepared that there is just no escape ... There is no escape from great dining either, perhaps to build strength for more spending? The Marina Mirage shopping complex features a range of exclusive designer boutiques, art galleries and restaurants as well as several eating areas and bars where you can relax and prepare for erm ... shopping. A list og Main Beach restaurants is provided below.
The Southport Spit (also referred to as The Spit) lies opposite Southport to the north of Main Beach. It is a permanent sand spit that separates the Southport Broadwater from the Pacific Ocean. The Spit is home to Sea World, the Sheraton Mirage Resort and Spa, as well as the luxury Palazzo Versace. The Spit represents one end of the Oceanway - a 36 kilometre network of pathways along beaches from the Gold Coast Seaway (The Spit) to the Point Danger Lighthouse (Coolangatta).
